Hey there,

2 years ago I've started work on a server project but stopped after a couple months working on it due to hardships.
The main hardship is that I am working on this project alone and carry everything that comes to making a server on my own shoulders which is fine but it keeps progress at a slower pace. Back then I had different things to focus on irl and got "bored" of making the server and due to it not gaining much popularity amongst the private server community I had no motivation to keep going. Before I just played around in the emulation & private server scene for World of Warcraft on my own teaching myself many things since 2014, helped a server out for a bit but never made my own.

This changes now, I resumed the work on the project because I noticed a surge of creativity and inspiration again and I'll keep working on the server for one major reason: Fun. Now to the server.

Since I mentioned I am working alone on this project and unfortunately I'm not a multi-talent there won't be any fancy videos or introductions of the server for now.
The idea is a permanent death, rogue-like server in an altered timeline of Azeroth (Project Altered Azeroth).

When Chromie pressed the button on the Temporal Discombobulator the time was set back to the Classic Era, but until now an altered timeline remained unnoticed. As the one responsible and a representative of the Bronze Dragon Flight, Chromie has the task to supervise that timeline. More specifically, Chromie is tasked with aiding the new adventurers arriving in the Altered Azeroth and guiding them along their way. Additionally, due to this being an altered timeline you cannot travel through the twisting nether to find your body and resurrect again.

Key notes & features of the server:

  • Progressive from Classic to WotLK (3.3.5 Client)
  • Permanent Character Death
  • Innkeeping & Room Rental System
  • Class Enhancements
  • Character Enhancements
  • Account-Wide Perk System
  • PvP Features
and many more to come.

If you are interested and would like to know more don't hesitate to join the Discord Server (I'll reply there more quickly) or write below.
Of course I'm also looking for anyone who wants to support the project in any way, be it a community member who wants to see the project come to life or offering any kind of technical help from brain storming to actual coding & implementation. (This does not mean I'm hiring, I cannot pay anyone and I don't expect anyone to work for free, it is my passion project)

Hope to welcome you in the community!

Goodluck! Looks very promising; here's a question.
Let's say a friend of mine is interested in the room rental system you have on your server, would he be able to for example put female night elves in those said rooms, and visit many gnome andwarf clients, of course just visiting the rooms.

Well you see, you can indeed invite friends to your room and open access to them. What happens inside the rooms, stays inside the rooms.
